Adriano Galliani warned Barcelona that Milan’s teenage goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is “priceless.”
The shot-stopper incredibly became a regular this season at the age of 16, when many of his peers are still in school.
“Does Donnarumma have a price-tag? No,” the CEO told Mediaset Premium. “There are these rumours about Barcelona, but he is our goalkeeper and we are really counting on Gigio.
“Nobody else in Europe has a regular starting goalkeeper this young. I saw Gigi Buffon on his debut, he was older than Gigio and there’s a lot of work to be done before he reaches his level, but he does have great potential.”
The Rossoneri host Torino tonight and hope to continue their climb up the table.
“I am in trance just before a match, my legs are trembling with terror every time we face a team behind us in the standings.
“In this calendar year we have already met four giants and had an extraordinary run of results, but we dropped points against the smaller sides. Therefore I’m very tense.”
