Roberto Stellone insists “it’s all still wide open” for safety despite Frosinone’s 2-0 defeat to Sampdoria.

A victory at Marassi would’ve seen the minnows leave the drop zone, but they were beaten by Fernando and Fabio Quagliarella goals.

“Aside from the result, we put in a good performance,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“In the first half Samp did take the initiative, but we did well to reply blow for blow. In our best moment of the second half, the second goal arrived out of nowhere and we couldn’t overturn the double disadvantage.

“It is a game we leave with our heads held high, as I am satisfied with the performance. Considering the results we are four points off Palermo, but we need a victory against Udinese to close the gap.

“If we have the same spirit that I saw today, we’ll do well in the next few rounds. This team can secure safety and it’s still wide open. Our chances have been reduced a little, but we won’t get downhearted.”
