Roma President James Pallotta confirms he has met with Francesco Totti today, who he calls ‘a wonderful person’.
The Giallorossi owner is in the capital to settle the recent bust-up between Totti and Coach Luciano Spalletti by making a decision on his future.
Gazzetta.it reported earlier that Totti would officially ask for a year-long extension as a player at the club, while Pallotta would offer an important directorial role.
Pallotta confirmed to journalists that the meeting went ahead, but details are yet to emerge about any decision that has been made.
“Totti? I met him today and I have a great relationship with him, he’s a wonderful person,” he said to RomaNews.eu.
The website reports that Pallotta wouldn’t respond to questions about whether Totti would renew his contract or become vice-President.
When asked about if he was having meetings about the new stadium today, the owner replied: “No, I’m going to sleep.”
