Swansea boss Guidolin in hospital

Swansea City manager Francesco Guidolin has been admitted to hospital with a chest infection, so misses the game with Arsenal.

The former Udinese and Palermo Coach was due to sit on the bench for tonight’s Premier League match.

According to a club statement, he was suffering from flu for a week and did not respond to medical treatment, so has been referred to a hospital in London.

“The specialist felt that the best course of action was for Guidolin to remain in hospital for a few days to receive further treatment.

“He is in a comfortable position and is expected to recover fully in a few days. Everyone at Swansea City wishes him a speedy recovery.”

Guidolin had given up coaching because he suffered from the "stress" of the job, but returned after claiming he had resolved the issue with yoga.
