For a week now there have been rumours of a meeting between the two in Montecarlo, but matters seem to have been delayed.

An early report by the Daily Telegraph suggested the meeting would be next week, and this is being confirmed by today's edition of the Mail on Sunday too.

The meeting may iron out the details of Conte's contract with Chelsea. Rumours suggest the Italian may earn up to €6.5m per season over a three-year contract.

Sport Mediaset even claim they have the date of Conte's presentation at Stamford Bridge – July 14.
