Italy CT Antonio Conte’s Calcioscommesse trial will reportedly begin on 4 April and be completed by May.
The former Juventus Coach is accused of failing to report a fix in a match against Albinoleffe while he was in charge of Siena in 2011, which he has denied.
The Azzurri boss’s lawyer demanded a faster trial at the start of the week so that it doesn’t run into Euro 2016.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that Conte’s wish has been granted and that it will begin on 4 April and be completed on either 21 April or 9/10 May depending on if extra time is required.
This means that the CT’s legal battles should be over in good time for Italy’s opening Euro 2016 fixture against Belgium on 13 June.
