Montolivo set for Milan stay

Riccardo Montolivo has begun talks with Milan for a contract extension, according to reports.

Gazzetta dello Sport writes that the Italy international’s representatives have already held a series of meetings with Rossoneri directors for a new deal.

The 31-year-old’s current contract expires in June, but the newspaper says another appointment has been fixed for the beginning of May to finalise an agreement.

Montolivo has made 23 Serie A appearances for the San Siro outfit this season, providing one assist.
