Roma are the latest club interested in giving Edinson Cavani a way out of PSG next season.

The Uruguay international has scored 17 goals in 40 competitive games this term, but spent much of it on the bench.

“Sitting on the bench is terrible, but I have to accept the choices of the Coach,” Cavani told L’Equipe after last night’s Champions League victory over Chelsea.

Juventus, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool had already been linked with a summer swoop for Cavani.

Now Rete Sport claim Roma are also making an approach for the ex-Napoli and Palermo star.

The two-legged defeat to Real Madrid showed the desperate need Roma have for a centre-forward who can bang in goals.

Edin Dzeko and Mohamed Salah missed numerous scoring opportunities in both Champions League games, having frustrated fans all season.

Cavani just turned 29, so this is likely to be the last big contract of his career.

While the Premier League is an intriguing test, Cavani knows he has a great record in Serie A and could rediscover his confidence here.
