Marco Parolo said Lazio have “a small advantage” after their 1-1 first leg Europa League away draw at Sparta Prague.

His goal wiped out an opener from Martin Frydek, though Antonio Candreva rattled the woodwork after the break.

“I think we should’ve gone in front with two or three great chances,” Parolo told Sky Sport Italia.

“In the second half we held out well, had several opportunities and Antonio was unlucky on the bar.”

Lazio got through the Round of 32 with a 1-1 away draw at Galatasaray before winning 3-1 at the Olimpico.

“Like in Istanbul, we have a small advantage and can now fight it out on home turf for qualification.

“Qualification in Europe is never easy, so we have to be wary. Sparta can cause us problems and we need to play with intensity in the second leg.

“We must think as if it’s 0-0 so we don’t sit back or rest on our laurels, as otherwise we risk messing things up.”
