Cristian Tello’s agent says his client would prefer to stay at Fiorentina, rather than return to Barcelona.
The winger arrived on loan in January, having spent the first half of the season with Porto, and is hoping to earn a permanent move to Artemio Franchi.
“Cristian talks enthusiastically of Florence, one of the most beautiful cities in the world,” Jose Maria Orobitg told Calciomercato.
“[Coach Paulo] Sousa has given him chances, now Cristian must improve physically to repay that faith. Clearly the style of play is perfectly suited to his characteristics, but he has to get used to the mechanics.
“Fiorentina have an option which they can exercise in June, at the moment the decision is down to the club. If not, other clubs are interested.
“He already chose Florence above other options in January. Tello now has to score goals and think about Fiorentina, finding a deal with the club won’t be a problem.
“If today you asked him to choose between Barcelona and Fiorentina he’d definitely pick the second option.”
So he wouldn’t return to the Blaugrana?
“There are rumours as always. Barcelona are a great club, but it’s clear it would be impossible to play consistently with them - have you seen their attack?!”
