Mauro Icardi will require tests for ligament damage after the Inter striker sprained his right knee.

The forward limped off just 10 minutes into this evening’s Serie A match against Bologna at San Siro.

Inter released a statement confirming he had twisted his right knee and the injury would be evaluated over the next few days.

There are concerns for the collateral ligament.

Even if there is no ligament damage, a sprain makes it highly unlikely Icardi will be ready to face Roma in next week’s showdown for third place.

Stevan Jovetic is also currently injured and it’s not clear when he will be back to full fitness.
