Khouma Babacar’s agent denies reports of a bust-up with Paulo Sousa, but won’t commit his future to Fiorentina.

There were suggestions in newspaper La Nazione that the striker had a row with his Coach at half-time in the 1-1 draw with Verona.

“I spoke to Baba and he didn’t say anything about this so-called clash with Sousa,” agent Patrick Bastianelli told Radio Blu.

“He was disappointed with his performance against Verona, as he wanted to be a protagonist and still hopes to be in this final part of the season.

“The jeers from fans were not nice, the performance wasn’t up to scratch, but let’s not forget what he showed with action by renewing his contract.

“Fiorentina must continue to believe in third place and be ready to take advantage of any Roma mistakes. I think they do need to improve their attitude and intensity, but it’s also not easy to play one in every six games.

“What of Babacar’s future? We’ll see, at the moment he is contracted on the objective to be achieved with Fiorentina.”

The Senegal striker turns 23 on Thursday and this season has seven goals in 22 competitive games.

In January the Viola reportedly turned down a €10m offer from Crystal Palace.
