The Bianconeri shook off their Champions League exit to Bayern Munich by crushing city rivals Toro 4-1 in the Derby della Mole.

“It was a fine victory, especially as we managed to put the Munich blow behind us,” Allegri told Mediaset Premium and Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s just a shame we went for too many solo moves and dribbles when Torino were struggling. We need to improve in that sense, as we are still too immature and think the situation is easy.”

Paulo Dybala missed the Munich game, but went off early today with another muscular injury.

“The calf is fine, he got a knock to the flexor muscle. I made this decision because Alvaro Morata worked very hard on Wednesday and it was warm today, so I wanted fresh legs.

“We were also fortunate in that sense, as Morata came on and scored two goals. I cannot choose more than 11 players, so the substitutions were decisive today.”

Torino were furious at several refereeing decisions, including the Maxi Lopez equaliser for 2-2 that was incorrectly ruled offside.

“I understand they were upset, as we were after Wednesday in the Champions League. I never usually talk about referees and I think two incidents do not take away from the good things we did in this game.

“After the Maxi Lopez goal we continued playing and Torino sat back to wait, so it didn’t really change anything. It can happen to concede after 10 and a half clean sheets in Serie A.”
