‘Zaza not thinking about transfer’

Simone Zaza’s agent assures “we’re far from any transfer talk” as his client targets a place at Euro 2016.

The Juventus striker looks set to start for Italy in tonight’s friendly against Germany, despite just four Serie A starts this season.

Despite that lack of game time, Zaza has scored four League goals, and his representative says he’s not seeking a move away from Turin.

“Simone is very focused, especially as he’s playing as a starter tonight,” Christian Maifredi explained on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“He’s keen to give further confirmation to Coach [Antonio] Conte and play well. For about a year he’s been an integral part of the national team, he’s very good at the moment and when he’s called upon he gives his contribution.

“Simone has done very well when he’s had his chance, and he has to battle high level players and prove his worth in the time he has available.

“He has a long contract with Juventus, and we’re far from any transfer talk.

“For now our thoughts are on tonight, he hopes to do well for Italy.

“Simone and [Napoli’s] Lorenzo Insigne are definitely friends, I hope Insigne will be able to play some balls in for Simone.”

The Bianconeri lead Insigne’s Napoli by three points in the fight for the Scudetto, and Maifredi believes it’s strength in depth which could decide whether the Serie A title heads to Turin or Naples.

“Zaza’s winner against Napoli? That goal in Turin could be decisive, but there’s still a long way to go.

“Juventus have a more complete squad than Napoli, in the second-string too, and they try to use all of it."
