Milan lost 2-1 at Atalanta yesterday, their fourth winless game in Serie A, and are now in serious danger of missing out on European football altogether.

While Mihajlovic’s side are still in sixth-place, Sassuolo are now just a point behind. The Diavolo will enter the Europa League if they win the Coppa Italia final, but they face a tough task against holders Juventus.

If the Rossoneri are defeated in the Coppa, then sixth-place will grant Europa League entry, but it’s not certain they can hold off the Neroverdi.

According to Sky, joint-CEO Galliani visited Milanello today and had some harsh words for the squad, as did Mihajlovic.

The news outlet reports that the director asked the players why they had managed to go nine games unbeaten earlier in the season, beating Fiorentina and Inter and drawing with Napoli, but didn’t win a single League game in March.

In addition, the issue of Milan’s form after international breaks was raised, with the Rossoneri having lost four out of five of those fixtures.
