Coach Roberto Mancini is 'not worried' about his future at Inter or even the transfer market: 'You don't need big money to win.'

The team's decline has been so marked that there is speculation they may sack Mancini at the end of the championship.

“A Coach's future depends on his results,” he said in today's Press conference. “But I still have one year on my contract and I'm not worried.

“Jovetic is fine, he trained with us all week and he's available for tomorrow. I hope he can make good the time he spent on the bench.

“I don't think we lacked concentration, certainly not. Maybe the problem was the pressure. When you start drawing against smaller teams, you become more timid.

“But the more you play defensively, the more you give your opponents a chance to score.”

The 51-year-old was also asked about the possible signing of Yaya Toure.

“Right now I think it's premature to discuss players coming in. Let's focus on the games, we'll see in the summer.

“I'm not worried about the transfer window, even if they have to sell big players. In football you can do well even without spending huge amounts.

“When I first took up Inter in 2004, it took us two years to win the championship, even though we had a great team.

“I can't keep saying the same thing at every Press conference,” he joked, when asked yet another question about his future with Inter. “It seems that other people know more things than I do, but I still have one year on my contract.

“I've had no offers from abroad and everything that's been written and said is untrue.

“Unsellable players? Yuto here, he signed a contract today!” he said, in reference to Yuto Nagatomo, who was also present at the conference.

“Today I'd give the team a pretty low rating, but not because of the players. They worked extremely well, I'd only give myself a low rating, in spite of the excellent start to the season.

“Nagatomo? He wasn't on the bench all the time, it's just that we had eight players for his role. When this changed, of course he got more playing time.”
