Atalanta hope to have their new stadium ready in 2020, constructed at a cost of €7.5m.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Stadio Azzurri d’Italia in Bergamo will begin extensive renovation work from this summer.

Atalanta already gave the local council €2.5m to fund improvements.

Another €5m will be spent to renovate the ends – removing barriers and bringing the stands closer to the pitch itself.

New restaurants, shops and bars will also be constructed to make it a more week-long structure.
