Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio says ‘Roberto Mancini has already yielded results’ but admits ‘growth will be slower with our UEFA agreement’.
The Nerazzurri are restricted with their spending in the transfer market due to Financial Fair Play sanctions placed on them by UEFA last summer.
Ausilio praised the work of Coach Mancini and underlined that the club are ‘in line with our objectives from the start of the season’.
“When the season starts, everyone thinks about always giving their best,” he said to Radio Anch’io lo Sport.
“For a team like us we need to always think about winning every game.
“Nobody expected to see Inter in fourth place at the beginning of the campaign, we’re but we’re in line with the planning from the start of the season despite the many changes from last summer.
“Trying to get into the Champions League is still our objective, we still want to try. Of course, there are few games left but we must still believe.
“The work put in place by Mancini has already yielded results. Many great players arrived in the transfer market, we have more points than last season and we are four places higher up.
“Now we want to try to improve again and we will do it with Mancini, taking account of financial fair play.
“The growth will be slower, but we can’t do anything else given the agreement that we have with UEFA.”
