Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio admits he ‘expected more goals’ and says there’s ‘no interest’ in Lazio’s Lucas Biglia.

The Nerazzurri have only scored 42 goals in 32 matches this season, 24 fewer than Roma and Napoli ahead of them.

Ausilio discussed the club’s transfer policy and denied there has been any approach for Biglia, suggesting Lazio President Claudio Lotito is pricing him out of the market.

Ausilio discussed the club’s transfer policy and denied there has been any approach for Biglia, suggesting Lazio President Claudio Lotito is pricing him out of the market.

“Eder? Despite being an obligation to buy, he arrived on a two-year loan and therefore in reality we haven’t yet spent the money taken in from selling [Fredy] Guarin,” Ausilio said to Radio Anch’io lo Sport.

“Our attack is unquestionable on a quality level, but I certainly expected more goals.

“Could we have signed a midfielder? Yes and we have already identified one. But, given the difficulties with scoring, we wanted to sign a type of attacker that we didn’t have in the squad.

“Biglia? There has never been any interest, but we like that kind of player. But try asking Lotito how much he wants…

“Moratti? I know little about these things, I try to do my work well and don’t occupy myself with club matters.

“I’ve worked really well with him, I also work well with Thohir. From what I know, the current President wants to go forward with Inter and we’re planning the future with Thohir.

“Kovacic? When offers like that one from Real Madrid come in, it’s hard for both us and the player to say no. It wasn’t possible to keep him.”
