Diego Perotti feels Roma “wasted a good opportunity” to close on Napoli and “deserved to win” their 1-1 draw with Bologna.

Mohamed Salah hit the woodwork three times before getting his goal, whereas Luca Rossettini’s header had put the visitors in front.

“We wasted a good opportunity, but had a great second half,” Perotti told Mediaset Premium.

“It makes us angry that Bologna had only one scoring opportunity and put it in the back of the net. Instead we created tons and played really good football, especially after the break. It’s a real pity.

“We are still six points off Napoli and cannot afford to waste any more chances, especially on home turf. Now we have to work on being ready for Atalanta.”
