The ultras at the Stadio Franchi for the open session chanted ‘You have to sweat for the shirt, we’re fed up of you.’

There was also a large banner that read: ‘We want respect for our shirt.’

The fans seemed angrier at the players and club hierarchy, but urged Coach Sousa to remain in Florence.

Sousa refused to confirm or deny he met with Zenit St Petersburg directors last week.
