Inter could offer Stevan Jovetic plus cash to Lazio in order to get Antonio Candreva in return.
The Nerazzurri’s interest in Candreva has never been a secret, but they have so far baulked at the €30m price-tag.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, Inter director Piero Ausilio has come up with a different proposal to solve two problems in one fell swoop.
They are forced to sign Jovetic on a permanent basis from Manchester City in January 2017 at the end of his loan spell, but do not want to keep the player.
Instead, Inter could offer Montenegro international Jovetic to Lazio in exchange for Candreva.
The Biancocelesti are still not convinced and would need a cash sum in addition to Jo-Jo.
This season Jovetic has scored five goals in 22 competitive games for Inter, but found the net only once in 2016.
