It kicks off today at 5:00pm UK time. The Azzurri face the Biancocelesti in what looks like a difficult run for them, as they rather lack the depth to play the scheduled three games in one week.

“The quality of our opponents makes this a match of a high difficulty level,” Giampaolo told the Press. “Lazio have great quality and can play the ball. They're not as good in possession as Fiorentina, but they play in depth and they're strong on the wings.

“We must play these last six games in the best possible way. We want to improve the standings and the players must show the ambition to do better. Without drive, you pick up the mentality of a loser. I expect every player to know that.

“We have three games in one week, so I'll decide my formations one match at a time. We have to manage everyone's energy, I could either keep a consistent formation or change everything. I have many doubts ahead of playing Lazio.”

Giampaolo then discussed Simone Inzaghi, who picked up the Biancocelesti after the sacking of Coach Stefano Pioli.

“I don't know what his concrete objectives are. I only know that Lazio are technically strong. This is an opportunity for him and he'll take it. I certainly don't have anything against young Coaches.

“[Alberto] Pelagotti? I saw him calm as usual, being able to play is a good thing for him. We're sorry about [Lukasz] Skorupski but this is football. Clubs choose according to their sense of reliability. I think he can do well and confirm our respect for him.”
