Parma are back in the professional leagues after securing promotion to Lega Pro, Italy’s third division.
The Ducali, reborn after bankruptcy as Parma Calcio 1913, set a new record by putting together 85 points in 35 Serie D games.
They are still unbeaten this season with 25 wins and 10 draws.
Today’s 2-1 win over Delta Rovigo mathematically confirmed their promotion under Coach Gigi Apolloni.
Most importantly, Parma had huge crowds for these semi-professional games at the Stadio Tardini, as the city rallied round the club.
The captain is Alessandro Lucarelli, who accepted the drop down to Serie D after their bankruptcy last summer.
