Francesco Totti and Luciano Spalletti both insist there is no problem between them at Roma.
It was reported the captain and the Coach had a heated argument after the draw with Atalanta, despite Er Pupone coming off the bench to rescue a point for the Giallorossi.
Satirical news show Striscia La Notizia presented both with its famous ‘Golden Tapir’ award, given to famous faces who have been embarrassed or defeated.
“It’s all fine, we’ll go for dinner together tonight,” Totti insisted as he was given the ‘prize’.
“He’s a very good person. The past is forgotten, nothing happened between us.”
Spalletti was also interviewed by the program, and expressed similar sentiments.
“I got angry with him because in a quarter of an hour he could have scored two goals, and instead he only got one.
“I really treat him like an important player. Totti is an outlet for Roma. I’ll definitely stay, and Francesco [will stay for] another six, seven, 10 years.”
