Giampiero Ventura was furious after Torino fumbled a 2-1 lead to lose 3-2 at Roma, but admits Francesco Totti’s brace “made for a great Hollywood ending.”

The Granata had been leading twice at the Stadio Olimpico, but FTotti came off the bench to bag two goals in three minutes.

“I am angry. If we don’t get a result after a game like this away to this Roma, then we’ll never get a result,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“In certain stretches we played very well, but in the final 20 minutes we stopped doing what we know how. I rarely get angry after a game, but I am this time.

“The problem is that we must learn. We are a side working to become great, but there’s so much more to be done.

“Totti coming on so late to turn it around, well… If you wanted a Hollywood ending, then this made a great film. I am happy for Totti and the Roma fans, but very angry with my own team and of course other matters.”

The winning penalty seemed very harsh indeed, as Nikola Maksimovic’s arm was flush against his torso when charging down the Diego Perotti cross.

Earlier on in the game there was a much clearer handball from Alessandro Gazzi that did not warrant a spot-kick.
