Frosinone Coach Roberto Stellone slammed “injustice” from the referee after two red cards in their 5-1 defeat to Chievo.

The Canarini had taken the lead at the Stadio Bentegodi through Daniel Ciofani, but Arlind Ajeti received a straight red card for a high foot after just 17 minutes.

Raman Chibsah followed for a very harsh second bookable offence on 54 minutes, opening the floodgates for Chievo to run riot.

“This match was compromised from the first three minutes,” Stellone told reporters.

“There were many mistakes from the referee, both in the choice of cards and in awarding certain free kicks.

“It’s a shame, as we had gone in front and were doing well. It’s only normal that if you are down to 10 men after quarter of an hour, the game becomes an uphill struggle.

“I ought to stir up trouble and cause controversy now, but it’s not in my nature. It’s impossible to say nothing and it’s pointless to stir controversy.

“I tell the fans to stay calm, because we might be wounded, we might be bitter, but on Sunday we’ll be ready to prove we’re still alive and kicking. I am convinced we’ll be able to make up for this injustice.”
