The Nerazzurri are after a reinforcement for the attacking department, and the Italian international looks to be the number one option.

Inter are, however, also considering a number of alternatives. According to Rai Sport, they are prepared to move for Napoli's Gabbiadini and Marseille's Thauvin, who is currently in France on a loan from Newcastle. The latter player's contract ends this summer and he may come to Serie A as a free agent.

The choice of one player over another could have significant effects on Inter's formation next year, as these striker/wingers have some different skill-sets and positions, and their qualities are not entirely interchangeable.

The Biscione could sell a number of players to finance their purchase. Danilo D'Ambrosio could be offered to Lazio as part of the deal leading to Candreva, Davide Santon is being sought after by Newcastle, and Jeison Murillo apparently has a number of suitors in the Premier League.

Mauro Icardi's future remains the big question. Should the Argentine depart, he may be replaced with Ajax's Arkadiusz Milik.
