Apparently Totti and Pallotta can't agree on the new salary. The #10 currently earns €3.5m per season, and would like to stay at around €3m, while the President is only willing to offer €1m.

Negotiations are also ongoing with regards to Totti's image rights, which are mostly in the hands of the club. The 39-year-old is looking to take them back, which goes against the club's wishes as the Ex Pupone provides substantial merchandising value.

As the championship draws to a close, a compromise will have to be reached quickly.
