The Colombian defender was at the receiving end of some harsh criticism by Coach Roberto Mancini after yesterday's 2-0 defeat to Lazio.

According to Calciomercato.it, the Biscione's higher echelons have not been too impressed by Murillo's second half of the season and are willing to let him go in the summer.

The decision is partly forced by the club's financial situation, as they will require cash to operate on the transfer market.

Murillo came to Inter for €10m but could leave for a substantially higher sum, even up to €25-30m, if the potential buyers start bidding against each other. The defender is believed to be a target for the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Murillo's place in the back-line would then be taken by Medhi Benatia, though Inter will have to compete against Juventus and Roma for that signing.
