Ventura: 'Immobile back for Napoli'

Giampiero Ventura has Ciro Immobile back in the side as Torino host his hometown club Napoli.

It kicks off at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT), click here for a match preview.

“Immobile has the ambition of getting back into the Italy squad, so we managed to get him back to fitness,” said the Coach.

“It’s a shame he got injured right when he had been recalled to the Azzurri. He is in the squad now and can play against Napoli.

“The game with Napoli is the toughest we could’ve had to salute our fans in the last home fixture of the season. Obviously the Partenopei won’t be happy with just a draw, so they will come here with the mentality of a knockout round.

“It’ll be a match that gives us the opportunity to test some players. If Kamil Glik is left out, he knows full well it’s not a snub, but just a chance to test our youngsters. If Pontus Jansson does well against Gonzalo Higuain, it means we’re on the right track.”

All eyes will also be on Nikola Maksimovic, who was the subject of a €20m offer from Napoli last summer.

“He is certainly a very important player, one who has attracted interest from the best clubs in Europe. Our project continues from year to year and it’s normal that there will be some changes.”

Joel Obi also returns to the squad, so the only absentee is Danilo Avelar.
