Juventus President Andrea Agnelli has clarified his comments about selling Paul Pogba.

The patron said several years ago that the club would not be able to turn down offers for the Frenchman, and was asked about those comments today at a Press conference.

“Thank you for the question, because I don’t often speak so I don’t get much opportunity to clarify,” Agnelli responded.

“What I said in the past is that, until September 1, the transfer window is open and there’s room for speculation and hypotheses on the transfer market.

“Even when the official windows are closed, I have to say that it’s always the transfer market.

“For my part, I have an awareness that we have a well set-up plan, with professionals like [general manager Giuseppe] Marotta, [sporting director Fabio] Paratici and [vice-President Pavel] Nedved.

“We have total understanding with Coach [Massimiliano] Allegri, and then I know that the team has international quality, and we know our objectives for next year.

“For everything related to the transfer market, the person to talk to is Marotta, not me.”
