Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti said “Roberto Mancini is certainly staying, but if Samir Handanovic and Stevan Jovetic aren’t happy, we’ll find a solution.”

The former player spoke to reporters at an event to mark the Champions League Final at San Siro.

“Mancini is certainly staying. With Roberto we went into this journey knowing there would be some difficulties along the way.

“We must now finish this last game of the season and then think of how to best plan ahead for next term.

“Let’s not forget that we must respect Financial Fair Play parameters and that will guide our choices.”

After the 2-1 win over Empoli on Saturday, both Handanovic and Jovetic gave interviews suggesting they could walk away this summer.

“Whoever has the Inter jersey must always be happy and proud to wear it. If they aren’t happy any more, we will talk about it and find a solution,” continued Zanetti.

There are reports Inter have already secured Ever Banega on a free agent, though he’s still in a legal tussle with Sevilla.

“Banega is an extraordinary player who would do well anywhere, but he is not yet an Inter player.”
