It’s reported Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri spoke to Roma’s Miralem Pjanic to convince him to move to Turin.

The Bosnian playmaker has a release clause of €38m in his contract, and it’s been reported in recent days that the Bianconeri are willing to pay it.

The capital club denied that in a statement yesterday, but today’s Gazzetta dello Sport claims Juventus are still in pole position to sign Pjanic.

The capital club denied that in a statement yesterday, but today’s Gazzetta dello Sport claims Juventus are still in pole position to sign Pjanic.

It’s believed the Old Lady have already contacted Pjanic’s entourage to inform them that they intend to pay the release clause, and next week the player’s agent will be in Italy.

The newspaper also reports that Allegri personally spoke to the Giallorossi midfielder, assuring him that he intends to make him a key part of his team.

While a move would be controversial, given the rivalry between the two clubs, Gazzetta believes that, at 26-years-old, Pjanic is looking to make a change in his career.

It’s thought the only thing which could change his mind would be a counter-offer from Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain.
