Juventus' Gianluigi Buffon admits the terror threat ahead of Euro 2016 is 'scary', whilst discussing Francesco Totti, Paul Pogba and Miralem Pjanic.

At 38, the Bianconeri goalkeeper is still first choice for the Azzurri, although the terrorist shootings in France suggest the tournament will show him a new level of security measures.

“It's certainly scary, and it's right to be cautious,” he told Italia 1. “But we're important social instruments and we can give people dreams. If you want to do that, unfortunately at this moment in history you have to run a few risks. I'm happy to do that if I can give happiness to those who follow football.”

Buffon recently had a meet-and-greet with children in which he apparently said that he wanted Francesco Totti back in the national team.

“People have interpreted certain words I told a child who asked me about his captain. I can confirm that a player with his quality, a phenomenon, won't be seen very often. That's a far cry from saying he'll be called up though.

“Max Allegri and Antonio Conte? Allegri surprised me for how he changed this year, including his impact in the changing room starting from November.

“Our comeback is due to the fact that he reformed his way of handling the changing room.”

The goalkeeper then discussed Inter and Milan, the latter also being Juve's rival in the upcoming Coppa Italia final.

“When you're sixth or seventh you can have no special regrets. The gap is too wide and you understand the problems are of a deeper nature.

“Milan don't worry me personally because Neto will play in my stead. I'll have to be there in support for him and the players.

“Milan proved that they have sufficient qualities to trouble anyone, over a single match. They have a squad of 13-15 men who are between the first and the third-fourth place in terms of ranking. It's an excellent squad that must be respected.

“[Paul] Pogba? He's an avatar borrowed by our championship. I've very seldom seen a comparable combination of overpowering technique, physicality and personality.

“[Miralem] Pjanic? He's an opponent of tremendous value, one of the greatest talents playing in Italy at the moment.”
