Hernanes says “I hope I can stay” at Juventus - “I have two years on my contract”.
The Brazilian midfielder joined the Bianconeri from Inter in the summer, but has failed to hold down a regular place in Massimiliano Allegri’s side.
“I have two years on my contract and I’m calm,” Hernanes told reporters at the Juventus media day.
“I like it here, Turin is an ideal city for me and my family. I’ve bought my first home here, I like it and I hope I can stay.”
Hernanes also looked ahead to this Saturday’s Coppa Italia final against Milan.
“They’re a great opponent, beyond what they did in the League. They’re always Milan, and we have to respect them and be aware of where they can hurt us.
“We can’t underestimate anything, we have to continue on the path we’ve been on so far. We’re preparing in the best way and we won’t underestimate our opponent. The Coach is insistent on that.
“It’s special for me to play in Rome, it’s the first [Italian] city I played in [with Lazio]. It always reminds me of the movie ‘Gladiator’.
“It’s a magical city for me, and I’m glad to be returning to Stadio Olimpico.”
