Cagliari won the Serie B title ahead of Crotone, while the third promotion spot into Serie A will be decided via the play-offs.

As for the relegation play-out, those games have been postponed to June 4 and 8 due to Virtus Lanciano’s legal situation.
 
The club won its appeal to reduce their points penalty for financial irregularities, but the FIGC is appealing that decision.
 
If Lanciano lose, they will drop down to Lega Pro and Livorno get a chance to face Salernitana in the play-out.
