Walter Mazzarri’s agent confirmed a three-year Watford contract. “He chose the quality of the project.”
“He has signed for three years,” agent Andrea D’Amico told calciomercato.com.
“He chose the quality of the project and his faith in the Pozzo family ahead of other offers.
“He will certainly do very well.”
It is Mazzarri’s first foray abroad, but he has been learning English for almost two years, spending a lot of time near Manchester.
The Pozzo family also run Udinese and Spanish side Granada.
Mazzarri replaces Quique Sanchez Flores and has his first work since being fired by Inter in November 2014.
