Giovinco 'upset' by Italy snub
Sebastian Giovinco was “upset” at missing out on Euro 2016, but stood up for Toronto FC and MLS standards.
The Atomic Ant was left out of the Italy squad for the tournament, as Coach Antonio Conte noted “anyone who goes to play in MLS must pay the consequences.”
Andrea Pirlo was also snubbed after joining New York City FC.
"I was upset. I need to keep improving so I can find my place back on the national team,” Giovinco told reporters in Canada today.
"I've said before, the league is continuing to grow and it's a beautiful league.
“As long as I continue to have fun then I'll keep playing in MLS."
