The forward is at the centre of a huge transfer tug of war, as Real Madrid have a buy-back option worth €30m and plan to then sell him on for a profit.

While Arsenal and Chelsea have been mentioned as possible future destinations, he could remain in Madrid after all.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Atletico Madrid have set their sights on Morata to be their centre-forward.
