Inter director Piero Ausilio discussed Yaya Toure “difficulties” and why he wouldn’t like to see Mateo Kovacic at Milan or Juventus.

He spoke to Umbria Radio at an event in Perugia today and was asked about the imminent takeover by Chinese investors Suning Commerce Group.

“I too am awaiting the latest news from China. It all happened rather quickly, seeing as it was always a minority shares issue and yet over the last week the Chinese group stepped up a gear.

“I know that negotiations are in progress, but for now there’s no point commenting until the papers are signed.”

Suning are expected to announce the purchase of 68.5 per cent of the club on Monday, but that doesn’t mean unlimited funds will suddenly be available.

“I think Financial Fair Play will go beyond the redistribution of shares. Inter must abide by these rules, so regardless of the negotiations, the problem remains.”

Ausilio already commented this morning on the push for Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure.

“I denied the story about him having a medical with us, because it wasn’t true. Toure is a player who doesn’t need introductions, he is admired by Roberto Mancini and all those who love football.

“Going from that to saying there’s a good chance of pushing forward this move is a big leap. It is a difficult operation, because Yaya is under contract with Manchester City, one of the richest clubs in the world.

“He can’t just free himself from the contract in simple conditions and the cost of his contract is also a problem. Basically, the operation is not easy.”

Ex-Inter midfielder Kovacic has struggled for playing time at Real Madrid and could reportedly return to Serie A for Milan or Juventus.

“It would be disappointing to see him with another Italian jersey, because I am fond of Kovacic,” continued Ausilio.

“He was signed as a kid, then improved his value and was sold on at an important price to Real. Now I hope he can continue his journey in Madrid. It’s true he didn’t play much, but you earn room in those teams with time and experience.

“Considering his age, Mateo already has many games under his belt in La Liga and Serie A. If he has patience, he can become important for Real.

“If he does return to Italy, I say selfishly that I hope it’s not for Milan or Juve. Could he return to Inter? We will always have interest for a player like Kovacic, but right now cannot take any action.”
