Cristian Zapata confirmed he is “talking about” a contract renewal with Milan. “There is optimism.”
The Colombia international was on target with a stunning volley in last night’s 2-0 Copa America win over the USA.
“A contract renewal with Milan? We are talking about it,” the defender told Sky Sport Italia.
“There is optimism and we hope to reach an agreement as soon as possible.”
The 29-year-old’s current deal is due to expire at the end of this month, so he could walk away as a free agent.
Zapata has been at Milan since 2012, joining after a loan spell from Villarreal.
