Coach Maurizio Sarri reveals that 'he doesn't care' what Napoli do in the transfer market and discusses the 'new world' of the Champions League.

The former Empoli head was at a talk together with the mayor of Naples, and inevitably he was asked about the prospects of his team now that they qualified for the most prestigious European club tournament.

“If our team is in the second category, then we'll have a chance to pass the turn and face a world that's going to be new to us,” said Sarri. “What matters is the mental approach of the players. They must be crazy enough to win every game they play.

“It's going to be hard to repeat last season's achievements next year. We are fifth-sixth in Italy in terms of revenue and we can't kick off the season thinking we're going to steam-roll everyone.

“I speak with the sporting director once a week and he can do what he wants. I think I'm one of the few Coaches who doesn't care at all.

“Coaching an 18-year-old Italian is more satisfying to me than a 30-year-old foreigner.

“My favourites are France but there's usually a surprise. I hope that can be Italy.”
