Marc Wilmots insists Belgium “want to win” against Italy and uses criticism of his defence to spur them on.

The Group E showdown is in Lyon on Monday evening, after Sweden take on the Republic of Ireland.

“Would I be happy with a draw? No, I want to win,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Italy can play with a 3-5-2 or 4-3-3, but we can surprise people too.”

There are reports the Red Devils could take on a more defensive approach, dropping Napoli winger Dries mertens in favour of Marouane Fellaini to bolster the midfield.

Italian media and Lorenzo Insigne commented on Belgium’s poor defensive record, failing to keep a clean sheet in seven games.

“It’s good if Italy talk about our defence as a weak spot. I’ll hang the article up in the locker room so they can all see it,” replied Wilmots.

“We will use that sort of thing to fire us up even more.”

Belgium (probable): Courtois; Alderweireld, Vermaelen, Denayer, Vertonghen; Nainggolan, Fellaini, Witsel; De Bruyne, Lukaku, Hazard
