The Serie B star striker was being scouted by a number of Italian clubs, with Lazio at one point seemingly very close to picking him up.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, however, the Partenopei have now put an end to the race.

Napoli and Pescara are believed to have an agreement for the player's transfer, which will cost €9m plus another €2m in bonuses. There is also an agreement in place with the player's agents for a four-year contract.

Now the only thing left is for Lapadula himself to agree to the move, and he will be a Napoli player.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis is also looking to make the deal more sophisticated by including other players in an exchange, such as Udinese-owned Valerio Verre, and Pescara players Gianluca Caprari, Francesco Zampano, and Davide Vitturini.
