Chelsea contenders for Candreva

Inter see Lazio raise Antonio Candreva’s price-tag to €25m as Antonio Conte’s Chelsea show an interest.

The right-sided winger impressed in the Euro 2016 opener, a 2-0 victory over Belgium, providing the assist for Graziano Pellè’s goal.

According to several sources, including La Gazzetta dello Sport and La Repubblica, Chelsea have stepped up their interest in Candreva.

Inter had long been tracking him and Roberto Mancini pin-pointed the Italy international as his primary transfer target.

However, the increase of the price-tag from €20m to €25m causes problems for a club limited by Financial Fair Play parameters.

Napoli and Atletico Madrid were linked earlier in the summer, but Chelsea are now emerging as genuine contenders for Candreva.
