The Serie B striker is garnering huge attention right now as the Partenopei tussle with Juventus over the player's ownership, and potential loan recipients Sassuolo and Genoa watch from the sidelines.

Napoli already have a deal with Pescara, so all they have to do is convince the player to join them instead of anyone else.

According to Rai pundit Ciro Venerato, as reported by CalcioNapoli24, the club is now offering a higher salary than before, raising it from €800,000 per season to €1.2m.

Lapadula is apparently tempted by Sassuolo, who can guarantee him a shirt as a starter, even though Napoli already promised to change their formation to accommodate him in the starting XI.

Venerato reports of a phone exchange between the player and Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, in which Lapadula mentioned how he is tempted by Sassuolo.

“Sassuolo want you because they lost [Cristian] Zapata,” Giuntoli reportedly told him. “Whereas we have Zapata as well as [Manolo] Gabbiadini, but we're coming to you.”

Lapadula will allegedly give his final answer on Monday.
