Inter are reportedly challenging Milan for the signature of Empoli playmaker Riccardo Saponara.
The attacking midfielder left the Rossoneri to return to Tuscany in January 2015, but the Diavolo are looking to bring him back for another spell.
However, Tuttomercatoweb is now reporting that the player’s father is at Inter HQ to negotiate with the Nerazzurri for a potential transfer.
After the takeover by the Suning Group, the Beneamata are targeting young, talented Italian players, and Saponara would fit the bill.
Saponara scored four times and provided 11 assists in his 33 Serie A matches last season.
