“During Italy-Germany, played last Saturday and worth the quarter-finals of the European Championship, Stefano Sturaro suffered a distortion of the right knee, with an effect on the collateral ligament,” reads the statement.
“The player will be monitored and given the appropriate treatment in the coming days.”
There is no word yet as to when Sturaro will be able to return to the pitch.
