Stefano Sturaro returned to Juventus in a poor condition, and new exams revealed a twisted knee.
The player made no mystery about not being in top condition during the Euro 2016 quarter-finals against Germany.
Having returned to home base, the Bianconeri subjected him to their own medical exams and released a statement confirming he is injured.
“During Italy-Germany, played last Saturday and worth the quarter-finals of the European Championship, Stefano Sturaro suffered a distortion of the right knee, with an effect on the collateral ligament,” reads the statement.
“The player will be monitored and given the appropriate treatment in the coming days.”
There is no word yet as to when Sturaro will be able to return to the pitch.
