Didier Deschamps admits France “lost a unique opportunity to win the Euros on our home turf” after extra time defeat to Portugal.
Les Bleus failed to impress in the Final, which was decided by an Eder strike in Paris.
“We lost a unique opportunity to win the Euros on our home turf,” the Coach told M6.
“There are no words, the disappointment is there, it’s immense and it will take a long time to get over this.
“We won together, we suffered together and today we lost together.
“We know that we made France shake and it would’ve been magnificent to offer them the trophy in our home, but unfortunately that was not the case.”
